Brian has more than 30 years of experience in public policy and public administration at the city, county, and state levels. Currently, Brian is the Sangamon County Administrator, a position he has held since 2009. The County Administrator is the Chief Appointed Official for county government and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of county government. Prior to the County, Brian served as the Chief of Staff for the Illinois State Senate Republican Staff and as the Chief of Staff for Springfield Mayor Karen Hasara. Brian serves on the Springfield Area Transportation Study Board, The Springfield Economic and Community Development Commission and the Springfield - Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission. He is an inductee of the University of Illinois at Springfield, Legislative Intern Hall of Fame. Brian is a Springfield native and graduated with a B.S. in Communications from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
