Brian Ray

President, Central Illinois, PNC Bank, NA

Brian A. Ray is Regional President of PNC Bank in Central Illinois.

He is responsible for the overall growth strategy in the market, including the executive banking teams for PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking, Asset Management Group and Retail Banking. Additionally, Brian also directly manages the Commercial Banking team in Central Illinois.

Prior to being named to his current position in March 2017, Brian served as senior vice president of Commercial Banking in Akron, OH. Brian, who joined PNC Bank in 2003, has over 25 years of professional experience in banking, business administration and marketing. Prior to joining the bank, he worked on the buy-side of the mergers and acquisitions team with Aspen Education Group, where he had previously served as the National Director of Admissions and Marketing.

Brian is active in the Central Illinois community, serving as the Treasurer for the Peoria Economic Development Council, Treasurer of the Greater Peoria Leadership Committee, Treasurer of the Moss Bradley Revolving Fund and Vice Chair of the Peoria Riverfront Museum.

While in Akron, OH, Brian was named “30 For the Future” by the Greater Akron Chamber and was a member of Leadership Akron. He served on the boards for the Akron Development Fund, Heart 4 The City, Pastoral Counseling Endowment Fund and Ohio Bucs Youth Baseball. In both communities, he has been an active volunteer in his church.

Brian received his MBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts in 2001 and his BA in Criminology & Psychology from Ohio University in 1995. In 2008, he earned a certificate from the Business School of Banking.
